Shirley Ann (Mader) Bedinger, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend; passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at Holland Lake Rehabilitation Center in Weatherford.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at East Greenwood, Weatherford.

Interment will follow the service, reuniting Shirley with her husband and son.

Shirley was very proud of her Parker County heritage, and with that sentiment in mind, western dress is encouraged for those attending the service.

Shirley was born on July 3, 1941, in Weatherford, TX to Dalma Mader and Margaret (Wallis) Mader.

Shirley Mader met Charles Louis “Chuck” Bedinger when they were children, they became childhood sweethearts and they fell in love and married on April 22, 1960. In 1970, they would be blessed with their only son, Charles Mitchell "Mitch" Bedinger. They would go on to spend 59 wonderful years together before Chuck’s passing in 2019. Even after Chuck’s passing, she would continue to love and speak of him kindly until her death. A common phrase she used was “I miss my Chuck!” Now they are together forever in eternity.

Four years after Shirley and Chuck were married, she met Charles Paris and went to work for him in his business, which later became Weatherford Aerospace. She worked there as an employee until she retired at age 65; and continued working there as a consultant until 2025, encompassing a tenure of 55 years. Upon retirement, she and Chuck lived part time at homes in Missouri and Georgetown, TX until Chuck’s death.

Of all of the things that Shirley enjoyed in life, her first love was her family. For the last few years of her life, she had the pleasure of raising her granddaughter, Charlsi Bedinger. As she was aging, she still wanted to make sure to provide the best she could for her, a promise she had made to Charlsi’s daddy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chuck; and their only son Mitchell, who both passed in 2019. Her only child, Mitch was born in 1970.

She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Charlsi Bedinger; and a host of cousins, extended family, and great friends.

In lieu of flowers, Shirley's wishes were that any donations be made, in her honor, to Texas Neighborhood Services, where Mitch was a longtime board member. Any memorial donations used 100% to provide assistance to Wounded Veterans in Parker County.

Arrangements are in care of Browning Funeral Home, Weatherford.
