Raymond Guy Merwin

Raymond Guy “Ray” Merwin passed away on Saturday May 31, 2025.

Memorial Service: 1pm Friday, June 6, 2025 in Prince-Gray Chapel at Browning Funeral Home, 116 Wheeler Street, Weatherford.

Ray was born August 16, 1951 in Conesville, NY; son of George and Elizabeth (Francher) Merwin.

He met the love of his life, Diane Sheldon, and they were married on June 21, 1969. They would go on to spend nearly 56 happy years together.

Ray was a computer programmer by trade and worked for many years for IBM. In his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at Center of Hope.

Ray and Diane were faithful members of North Main Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his father; and one daughter, Christine Johnson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Diane Merwin; son, Steven Merwin; grandson, Jacob Merwin; and his mother, Elizabeth Merwin
