Linda Kent (McGuire) Carrier

Linda Kent (McGuire) Carrier, 84, passed away on Friday December 5, 2025 in Weatherford.

For those wishing to pay their respects, her body will be lying in state from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday December 9, 2025 in Prince – Gray Chapel at Browning Funeral Home.

A graveside Service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, December 10 at Annetta Cemetery; with Rev. Ronald Adams officiating.

Linda was born October 15, 1941 in Corpus Christi; daughter of Preston Evens McGuire Sr. and Mary Kent (Currie) McGuire.

Linda was a strong advocate for education. She was a retired educator of 38 years. She was a alumus if Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan University, and North Texas State University. Linda held two bachelors degrees, two masters degrees, and began the coursework for two doctorate degrees. Her specialization was in maths and sciences.

Dating back to her childhood, she was a big fan of Elvis Presley.

Of All the things that Linda enjoyed in life, her first love was her family. Her sons and grandchildren were the light of her life.

Survivors include her sons, Jon-David Carrier and Allan Hale; grandchildren, Ethan Scott Anderson, Alden Allan Hale, Christian David Carrier, Shannon Dawn Carrier, Natalie Rebekah Hale, Ashton David Carrier, Faith Gabrielle Carrier; brother, Preston Evens McGuire, Jr.; a host of extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
