Larry Dean Callaway, 71, passed away in the early morning hours of July 2, 2026 in Weatherford.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in Prince-Gray Chapel at Browning Funeral Home, 116 Wheeler St, Weatherford.

Celebration of Life: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9 in Prince-Gray Chapel at Browning Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.

Larry was born July 22, 1954 in Levelland; son of Windell Wayne Callaway and Burnidean (Grant) Callaway.

He met the love of his life, Valerie Davis, and they were married on September 8, 1973. They would go on to spend nearly 53 happy years together.

Larry was an avid fisherman, often competing in competitions. He also shared the love of motorcycles with his wife, Valerie. They were lifetime members of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He also loved sports, ALL sports. From spectating, to coaching, or just being a supporter, he loved sports.

He was a deep man of faith, with a strong work ethic. He also loved Elvis Presley’s music, and a good joke.

Larry was a people person by nature. He never met a stranger, and enjoyed visiting with people. His first love, next to his Lord, was his family. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the light of his life.

He also loved animals, especially his dogs, Lulu and Dixie.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronnie Callaway.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Valerie Callaway; daughter, Michelle Bogan , and husband Joe; son, Brandon Callaway, and wife Andrea; grandchildren, Eleanor Bogan, Joseph Bogan, and Josiah Callaway; brother, Rickie Callaway (Anne); numerous extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
