Isabell Louise (Travis) Bachman, 109, passed from this life, into eternal life, on the morning of Sunday, August 23, 2026

Isabell was born October 11, 1916 in Oregon, IL; the 4th of 7 children of George W. Travis and Carrie Grace (Longman) Travis.

She was the first one in her family to graduate high school. She met the love of her life Claude Earl Bachman, and they were married on June 10, 1936. From humble beginnings, they would go on to spend nearly 73 happy years together, until Claude’s passing in 2009.

She and Claude loved to play games, literally wearing the color off the decks of cards. She also loved to bowl. She loved it so much, at one point, she bowled a “perfect game,” scoring 300.

She was a strong woman of faith, who leaves behind a legacy of love that spans 6 generations. She had a servant’s heart, with a spiritual gift of hospitality. She loved to fellowship with others, and devoted hours of service in youth camps, custodial services, the church library, and truly any other capacity that was needed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Earl Bachman; three sisters, Lillian, Evelyn, and Vivian; and three brothers, Carl, Vern, and Harry.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Lindquist, Linda Anderson (Kenneth), Dennis Lee Bachman, and Guy Bachman (Stephanie);10 grandchildren; many many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and great great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members.
