Hugh William Armstrong III, 74, passed away on Sunday August 3, 2025 in Weatherford, Texas.
Funeral Services are being planned in Naperville, IL with interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
Hugh was born December 27, 1950 in Evanston, IL; one of six children of Hugh William Armstrong Jr. and Rita (Jones) Armstrong.
Hugh attended Central Michigan University and graduated with a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology.
As a teenager, he began working for the family business, Armstrong Brothers Tool Company. Following his college education, he would return to work with the company full-time, rising to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing. Hugh remained with the company until it sold in 1995.
He met the love of his life, Patricia Karovich, and they were married on November 14, 1981. They would go on to spend nearly 44 happy years together.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James “Jim” Armstrong; and sister, Deborah “Debby” (Armstrong) Goulubski; and brother-in-law, Anthony Viviano.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Armstrong; children, Denise Marie Williams (Nick), Hugh William Armstrong IV (Kiley); grandchildren, Aiden, Jameson, Emerson, and Hugh V; brothers, Kevin Armstrong (Sue) and Robert Armstrong; sister, Mary Viviano; niece, Meghan; nephew, Shawn; a host of extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
